Motors embedded in the central core animate synchronized motion, coordinated by a remote-control system that dims and moves the chandelier together. The name, Light Unit Mechanized Intelligence Apparatus Computer, references MANIAC, an early autonomous computer from the 1950s, linking the project to origins of computational thinking.
