"The installation unfolds a continuous choreography of light and reflection that permeates the space it inhabits, generating a constellation of reflections through the interaction of light and material."
"Through the movement of the audience within the space, visual readings expand, overlap, and multiply, generating a potentially infinite field of forms."
"SpY activates a state of perception in the viewer through the suspension, movement, and reflection of essential geometric elements, articulating a composition that transforms the space into a physical and immersive experience."
HALOS is a large-scale installation by SpY, composed of rotating gold and silver reflective circles suspended in a former railway factory in Florence. The installation creates a continuous choreography of light and reflection, transforming the atrium into a dynamic environment. As viewers move through the space, overlapping reflections generate an infinite field of forms, enhancing perception. The arrangement of circular elements in a suspended grid allows for multiple viewpoints, revealing different spatial readings and capturing ambient light to create a layered visual effect.
