Smiljan Radić Clarke, a Santiago-based architect, has been awarded the 2026 Pritzker Architecture Prize, one of architecture's highest honors. He becomes the second Chilean recipient after Alejandro Aravena in 2016. Radić's practice, established in 1995, is characterized by phenomenological exploration where spatial experience takes precedence over formal explanation. His buildings appear elemental and quiet, inviting visitors to engage through movement and perception.
