Rosetta - A narrative installation
Briefly

Rosetta is a unique multimedia installation developed by Alessandro Capozzo, inspired by the ESA mission. It presents a micro-narrative from the probe's perspective, featuring both text and custom graphics displayed vertically. An original soundtrack incorporates elements of the narrative, generating a sonic tension through cascaded guitar amplifiers. The work employs various methodologies, including Processing for visuals and Nodal for music composition, linking generative art with refined audio production. The project evolves sound through distortion and spatialization that reflects the themes of time and distance, eventually analyzed using custom spectrogram software. AI was used in translation, but the narrative writing was human-authored.
The installation merges multimedia storytelling with soundscapes, immersing the audience in a sonic experience inspired by the ESA's Rosetta mission through the probe's perspective.
Custom graphic displays alternate with audio, creating a reverb-rich atmosphere that reflects the intricate narrative of cosmic exploration, time, and distance.
