"Rojkind Arquitectos, in collaboration with artist Pedro Reyes, SON Architects, Motus Holdings, and ASAB, has been selected as the winner of the mixed-use component in the International Concept Design and Build Competition for the redevelopment of the Zyber Hallulli site in Tirana, Albania. Organized by the Albanian Investment Corporation in partnership with the National Agency for Territorial Planning, the competition was launched in September 2025, with the jury announcing its decision on January 29, 2026."
"The winning proposal envisions three towers rising 20, 25, and 35 floors, connected by elevated bridges and anchored by a civic podium at ground level. Rather than presenting isolated vertical elements, the towers are conceived as an ensemble, with varied heights and programs intended to support activity throughout the day. The development accommodates a commercial passage at the base, offices, a hotel, residential units, and shared amenities."
"A defining feature of the proposal is its facade system, developed in collaboration with Pedro Reyes. Conceived not as an applied artwork but as an integrated architectural element, the facade comprises a series of vertical precast concrete components in tones derived from Albanian earth."
Rojkind Arquitectos, with collaborators Pedro Reyes, SON Architects, Motus Holdings, and ASAB, secured the mixed-use commission for the Zyber Hallulli redevelopment in Tirana following an international competition launched in September 2025. The scheme arranges three towers of 20, 25, and 35 floors as a cohesive ensemble linked by elevated bridges and anchored by a civic podium. Program mixes include a commercial passage, offices, a hotel, residences, and shared amenities. The podium sequences interconnected public spaces to reinforce pedestrian continuity and urban links, while the ground plane is organized as an active civic layer with shaded thresholds, circulation routes, and gathering places. A bespoke facade of vertical precast concrete components references Albanian earth tones and was developed with artist Pedro Reyes as an integrated architectural element.
