Traga, an Italian glassware company, launched the Podio Cup, designed by Maurizio Filippi, as a dual-purpose vessel for drinks and tea lights. Made from durable borosilicate glass, it serves both hot and cold beverages. The design, which emerged from an open call titled Redefining the drinking glass, symbolizes the interplay of fire and water. The Podio Cup's ability to stack and display beautifully reimagines everyday glassware, progressing Traga's mission to elevate common utility objects through thoughtful design.
A glass that can contain both a candle and a drink becomes more than an object; it becomes memory, explains Daniel Nikolovski, founder of Traga.
Podio also bridges two worlds through a single flip, but this time one side is for drinking, and the other is for atmosphere.
Multiple Podio Cups stack on top of each other to form a totem of sorts, offering an elegant way to display sculptural glassware.
The inspiration behind the design comes from two forces that have always shaped moments of life without asking for permission: fire and water.
