Photo London has mass appeal-can it be equally thought-provoking?
Briefly

It is my mission to make more contemporary art collectors into lens-based collectors and to broaden the scope seen at the fair. Our aspiration is to be a fair that is as thought-provoking ...as it is engaging to all. - Kamiar Maleki, Director of Photo London
The public's easy engagement with photography is one of the medium's strengths, but this accessibility can pose challenges at art fairs when juxtaposed with highbrow conceptualism or documentary concerns, which Photo London also grapples with.
Photo London features a mix of the good, the bad, and the beautiful. While exhibiting some vacuous clichés, it also showcases work of real depth, quality, and originality, exemplified by Siân Davey's series The Garden.
