New collector-backed Taipei museum faces criticism for steep ticket prices
Briefly

Since 1997, the Fubon Art Foundation has played 'a pioneering role in Taiwan, bringing art away from white walls and into everyone's life in the form of a wall-less art museum.' Now, it has a new physical location within the A25 commercial complex in Taipei's Xinyi district.
The Fubon Art Museum leverages its prime location to engage in lifestyle activities and interact with the surrounding area, combining art with fashion or sports cars.
The museum, initiated by the Renzo Piano Building Workshop, will feature art from the corporate and family collections of Fubon Financial Holdings. It sparked controversy over high ticket prices despite offering discounts for students and teachers.
While specific costs remain undisclosed, the museum's director mentioned that each exhibition costs millions of dollars, with high expenses related to transportation and insurance, as well as extensive planning.
