Nata Metlukh has reconnected with the physical world, and we should all be happy about it
Briefly

Nata, an artist-in-residence in Hiroshima, created a zine that illustrates her experiences through drawings. Her works focus on the beauty of visual representation, allowing viewers personal interpretation rather than following conventional narratives. Nata contrasts her work in Riso printing with animation, stating that the tactile qualities of traditional mediums are essential to her creative expression. Rather than storytelling, she highlights the significance of colors, textures, and the translation of her artistic vision across different mediums, showcasing a unique approach to art.
This zine was a reflection of my time there, depicting landscapes, scenes and characters.
For me, stories take a backseat to these visual elements, allowing the viewer to interpret it in whichever way works for them.
