Nandivardhanam is a residence set within an agricultural landscape on the outskirts of the city that embraces slow living. The house sits among sprawling fields and establishes an architecture of grounding through careful siting and material choices. Material authenticity guides construction, favoring tactile surfaces and honest detailing that respond to climate and use. Climate-responsive strategies address shading, ventilation, and thermal comfort to suit local conditions. Spatial organization prioritizes domestic rituals and everyday practices, creating intimate courtyards and transitional spaces. The project covers 6,200 ft and was completed in 2023 by Studio Inscape (lead architects Ar. Chaitanya Padal, Ar. Kinnera Varma, Ar. Radha Neela).
