The mural titled 'We Gon' Be Alright' at Kings County Hospital's Wellness and Recovery Center celebrates diversity and recovery from addiction, showcasing 'the resilience and unity of individuals reclaiming their lives.'
Saint-Louis, a New York-based Haitian diaspora artist, interacted with community members, staff, and patients at the temporary studio space within the clinic, designing the mural based on their input.
The mural was brought to life at a group 'paint party' and is part of the Community Mural Project, a program that dates back to the depression-era Works Progress Administration and is now the city's largest public art collection.
