Jeddah Tower's construction has resumed, and it is projected to be completed in the next four to five years. Currently, around 40% of the total structure has been built, with 60 of the planned 157 floors finished as of January 2025. The project faced significant delays due to financial and political issues, particularly linked to the 2017 anticorruption purge in Saudi Arabia, which impacted key backers and led to contract re-tendering. The completed tower will contain mixed-use facilities, including residential units, office spaces, and a hotel.
Jeddah Tower construction has restarted, with expectations of completion within four to five years. Builders have finished about a third of the tower, totaling over 40% of the final build.
When completed, the tower will stand at around 3,281 feet, or one kilometer, making it about 564 feet taller than the Burj Khalifa in Dubai.
The delays in construction have been attributed to financial and political setbacks, including the 2017 Saudi Arabian anticorruption purge that affected key backers of the project.
Jeddah Tower is expected to have a mixed-use function, housing residential, commercial, and office spaces, as well as an observation deck and a Four Seasons hotel.
