"MVRDV's pixelated facade design brings variety and identity to prefabricated modular towers in Singapore. At Irwell Bank Road in Singapore, two 36-story residential towers have been completed, with a lively, pixelated facade design contributed by MVRDV. Taking as a base the highly efficient, prefabricated, modular building design by Singapore-based ADDP Architects, MVRDV's variegated facade adds liveliness to the buildings' external appearance and highlights the green communal spaces on the buildings' 24th floor and roof."
Two 36‑story residential towers at Irwell Bank Road in Singapore feature a lively, pixelated facade designed by MVRDV. The towers are based on a highly efficient, prefabricated, modular building system developed by Singapore‑based ADDP Architects. The variegated facade adds visual variety and identity to the otherwise standardized modular blocks. The facade treatment also highlights communal green spaces located on the buildings' 24th floor and on the roof. The project demonstrates that prefabrication and cost‑effective construction can be combined with distinctive aesthetic character. Visualisations were produced by Antonio Luca Coco and Gianlorenzo Petrini, and the design team includes multiple architects.
