"Every user's home office is different, but they all have one thing in common, Desire to create a better space. Spend more good time and work there. But somehow we have no space at home, we work at the kitchen table, sofa, or bedroom because of lack of space. My aim was to build and improve a product which can be used by a large number of users in the home office space."
"As a part of the project, I took over an area of the home office space/area for me. In this section, I will share with you the final product that I have created: an ergonomically crafted, minimalist, and adjustable desk full of hidden storage. I attempted to follow the design thinking process or framework, which talked of five important phases: interviewing the users, defining problems at hand, ideating solutions for these problems, then creating scribbles for one idea, and getting feedback for the solutions, changes,"
Many home workers lack dedicated office space and often work at kitchen tables, sofas, or bedrooms due to limited space. The design goal targets a product usable by a broad range of home office users to create more comfortable, clean, and adaptable work areas. The proposed desk prototype combines ergonomic, minimalist aesthetics with adjustability, mobility, and hidden storage to maximize functionality in compact homes. The development followed the design thinking sequence: user interviews, problem definition, ideation, sketching, prototyping, and iterative feedback. The resulting desk emphasizes efficient use of space, customizable configurations, and improved home office experience.
