House Along the Old Road / KOMINORU Design
Briefly

This housing project along the historical Tokaido road integrates traditional wood-covered textures, designed to reflect sounds while allowing light into the living spaces.
The orientation of the wooden panels is parametric, creating a flow meant to reflect the outside environment while preventing noise pollution from the vibrant Tokaido traffic.
With living spaces revolving around a central courtyard, the design captures sunlight at different angles throughout the day, enhancing the ambiance in various rooms.
Innovative features like a floating staircase and a view of Mt. Fuji through an intersecting roof structure contribute to a unique and relaxing atmosphere.
