The 2024 collection by Glass Italia, designed in collaboration with top designers, showcases unique furniture pieces like the Kazimir Console and Table, blending geometric abstractionism with specially tempered glass.
Piero Lissoni's creations for the collection, including the Ratio desk and Obliquo open storage units, highlight the use of high-quality materials and precise details to enhance the simplicity of each piece, using techniques like gluing glass at 45-degree angles.
The Kazimir pieces are made with a double-sided green acid-etched glass, while the Ratio desk features 10mm tempered smoked glass boxes glued at angles, and the Obliquo storage units use 4 and 6mm laminated glass with heat-sealed polished edges.
Glass Italia's collection demonstrates how glass can be transformed and reinterpreted by talented designers like Michael Anastassiades and Piero Lissoni to create visually striking and innovative furniture pieces.
