DOM LAS (Forest House) originated from a long-term land stewardship effort on a seven-hectare former field near the client's hometown. The client purchased the empty field 25 years earlier and implemented planting, selective weeding, and thinning to encourage native pine and birch growth. Trees were planted and grasslands were shaped through sustained care and attention. Silvicultural practices transformed a disused plot into an attractive, varied landscape that reflects the region's native flora. The project foregrounds ecological regeneration and landscape-based design as the basis for siting and integrating a residence within a matured, biodiverse setting.
