Draw Sports Fans to an Art Museum? That's the Goal.
Briefly

Get in the Game: Sports, Art, Culture is SFMOMA's largest exhibition, featuring over 150 sports-related artworks to explore sports' significant role in American culture.
Curator Katy Siegel mentions, 'We are really thinking more about broad audiences… how do we make art meaningful to more people, and to make it matter in the world in the way that sports matters to people.'
The exhibition also presents six smaller shows inspired by sports, including one focused on skateboarding culture and another on international competitions like the Olympics.
Megan Rapinoe and Paige Bueckers contribute to the initiative, aligning sports with art to attract new and diverse audiences to the museum.
