Design for Good: Tables That Support Women After Incarceration
Briefly

The Healing Forest Tables form a limited collection created by Designing Justice + Designing Spaces, Formr, and A New Way of Life. Made from reclaimed wood and crafted by individuals from marginalized communities, the pieces support women re-entering society post-incarceration. This collaboration aims to send a powerful message about transformation—of materials, environments, and lives. The initiative also marks the first in The Donation Collection designed to support A New Way of Life, showcasing how design can facilitate healing and community rebuilding efforts.
This collection embodies our collaborative design philosophy, where people impacted by mass incarceration are essential co-creators of the spaces and objects that support healing.
In its mission to end mass incarceration, Designing Justice + Designing Spaces (DJDS) creates spaces that foster community, healing, and restoration.
Together, their work merges design, purpose, and impact, channeling the power of craft to uplift people and communities.
The Healing Forest Tables mark the first launch in The Donation Collection, a new charitable initiative benefitting A New Way of Life.
