Design brief required a meeting point for talks on the environment and biodiversity within Tramore Valley Park in Cork city. The building frames views toward Carroll's Bog and actively draws the park visitor closer to observe and contemplate the bog's beauty. The pavilion functions as a public focal point for environmental education, talks, and community gatherings that engage visitors with urban nature. The conceptual approach centers on visual framing and intimate encounter with the landscape to heighten awareness of local biodiversity. Siting and orientation prioritize a direct connection to the bog, enabling sustained observation and reflection on the site's unique ecological character.
