Cubbil Studio has shaped housing modules from earth and thatch along the road to the El Altar volcano in Ecuador, collaborating with community volunteers to foster community tourism and preserve vernacular architecture.
Prefabricated bahareque panels were used to reduce execution time and wall thickness while ensuring thermal comfort. The project focuses on community engagement, knowledge transfer, and sustainable construction in a rural setting.
