Clay Rise is a three-bedroom home in West Hoathly, West Sussex with a gross internal floor area of 193 square metres. The design explores the relationship between local tradition and form through a tiered roofline and a contextually driven material palette. The project is shortlisted for the 2025 Manser Medal and represents the debut project for Templeton Ford. Andre Ford served as main contractor and self-build project manager, with Templeton Ford as principal designer. The clients are Andre and Jessica Templeton Ford, who launched the practice in 2025 after long careers in architecture and creative direction.
