Calder Gardens is not a conventional museum and aims to provide a totally new, intimate, and ever-changing encounter with art. The project involves Herzog & de Meuron as lead designers with Jacques Herzog, Pierre de Meuron, and Jason Frantzen in charge, supported by project directors and a large project team. Iwan Baan provided photography. Piet Oudolf served as landscape designer while Ballinger acted as executive architect. A broad roster of consultants and contractors covered MEPF, IT/AV, civil and geotechnical engineering, concrete, waterproofing, security, signage, vertical transportation, sustainability, specifications, rendering, and multiple construction trades.
