The winery at Quinta de Adorigo was completed in 2024 as part of a family wine tourism development that includes a hotel still under construction. The quinta is located in the Alto Douro Vinhateiro, a UNESCO World Natural and Cultural Heritage site since 2001. The project responds to the exceptional natural beauty, millennia-old human occupations and centuries-old wine-production traditions by honoring the landscape and local culture. The architectural approach combines innovative construction strategies, effective sustainability measures and collaborative specialist input across structure, hydraulics, electromechanical systems, timber and graphic design. Multiple firms and artisans contributed to the realization, from concrete and timber contractors to interior and landscape designers.
