Elevate to Acquire TDS Telecom Assets in Delta County, Colorado
Briefly

Elevate, a fiber service provider, has agreed to purchase TDS Telecom's assets in Delta and Montrose counties, benefiting over 16,000 subscribers. This acquisition, highlighted by Elevate President Jack Johnston as pivotal for local internet service, enhances Elevate’s capabilities to offer affordable high-speed internet. TDS continues operations in Colorado despite the divestment. Elevate, part of the Delta-Montrose Electric Association, aims to provide reliable internet as a locally owned company, while TDS’s asset sales reflect a broader strategy of divestiture. Four TDS employees are expected to join Elevate post-acquisition.
"This purchase represents a monumental step forward for Elevate and Delta County residents," Elevate President Jack Johnston said in a press release about the TDS asset acquisition.
"As the only locally owned fiber internet company in Montrose and Delta counties, this move allows us to expand our reach and capabilities to offer reliable, high-speed internet at affordable rates."
