Tesla Celebrates 3,000,000th Electric Car Produced In Fremont
Briefly

Tesla's Fremont factory hit a production milestone of 3 million EVs on May 18, 2024, comprising half of all Tesla EVs. The factory produces Model S, X, 3, and Y.
Fremont factory's annual capacity is estimated over 650,000, with over half dedicated to Model 3 and Y. The Giga Nevada factory supports it by producing batteries and drive units.
Despite reaching the 3 million mark, Fremont's significance diminishes as Giga Shanghai and upcoming gigafactories in Texas and Germany produce a larger share of Tesla EVs.
Analyst Troy Teslike notes the Fremont factory's production rate exceeds earlier estimates. Q2 2024 is expected to be weaker due to market conditions. The new Model 3 Performance awaits approvals for customer deliveries.
