Streamflow seasonality in a snow-dwindling world - Nature
Briefly

As snowfall fraction decreases, the timing of streamflow mass may shift earlier or later, challenging traditional assumptions. Streamflow responses vary across catchments and suggest a complex evolution of streamflow regimes in a snow-dwindling world.
Results based on 1950-2020 data from 3,049 snow-affected catchments show that mean snowfall fraction affects streamflow timing responses to reductions in snowfall fraction. Streamflow timing changes reveal a gradient from earlier to delayed streamflow with declining snowfall fraction.
