Navigating Constraints as a Bootstrapper
Briefly

Running Podscan involves a delicate balance between various processes: transcription of podcasts, data extraction, question answering, and alert verification – all of which require GPU resources.
The structure of the data I push to Meilisearch requires massive indexing which leads to the queue falling behind, resulting in outdated system data. I must balance volume, fidelity, and recency.
Prioritizing becomes important; it wouldn't make sense for Podscan to prioritize a four-year-old episode over one released two hours ago, as recent episodes foster more user engagement.
All my core business processes compete for resources, creating an interesting balance, especially regarding managing queue sizes and maintaining server capacity under fixed expenses and limited income.
