Llamafile LLM driver project boosts performance on CPU cores
Briefly

A handy open source tool, llamafile, has reportedly achieved a 30 to 500 percent CPU performance boost on x86 and Arm systems.
llama.cpp, a plain C++ program, supports Meta's LLaMA models and other LLMs, running on various OSes with hardware accelerations.
Llamafile combines LLM files with llama.cpp to create a universal executable for multiple platforms, enabled by Cosmopolitan Libc project.
The integration of Cosmopolitan Libc enables a single executable to run on macOS, Windows, Linux, FreeBSD, OpenBSD, and NetBSD, across x86 and Arm CPUs.
