Barry Panayi serves as group chief data officer at Howden and is building a ‘datasphere’ to make information and insight integral to joined-up business operations. The aim is to move beyond producing tables of numbers and to factor real-time signals—such as supply-chain events and technological advances—directly into core datasets. Panayi joined Howden in August 2025 after data leadership roles at John Lewis Partnership, Lloyds and Amlin.
