The article published an author correction detailing necessary changes regarding the structure of the human dopamine transporter (hDAT) in complex with cocaine. Key corrections included accurate root-mean-square deviations (r.m.s.d.) from the originally published values, which were adjusted from 1.8 A and 13.0 A to the correct values of 1.1 A and 1.2 A. Additionally, a labeling mistake in a figure related to the chloride coordinating tyrosine residue was amended. Importantly, these corrections do not affect the conclusions of the original research regarding the structural similarities and functional implications of hDAT.
In the version of this article initially published, the r.m.s.d. values for the hDAT structure compared to dDAT and hSERT were corrected for accuracy, with original values being 1.8 A and 13.0 A.
The overall structure of hDAT resembles that of previously solved outward-facing structures, demonstrating high structural fidelity as evidenced by the correct r.m.s.d. values of 1.1 A and 1.2 A.
An error in labeling the chloride coordinating tyrosine residue in Fig. 4b was corrected from Y103 to Y102, clarifying previously published data.
Despite the necessary corrections, the conclusions drawn in the study regarding the structure of the human dopamine transporter remain unaffected.
