Packers pick up Wyatt's option, decline Walker's
Briefly

The Green Bay Packers announced exercising the fifth-year option for defensive tackle Devonte Wyatt while deciding against it for linebacker Quay Walker. Wyatt will remain with the team through 2026, with a salary of $12.938 million. The decision on Walker was influenced by his injuries over the past seasons, yet the Packers wish to negotiate an extension for him before he potentially hits free agency after this season. General manager Brian Gutekunst expressed intentions to keep both players around in the long term.
Earlier this offseason, Packers general manager Brian Gutekunst indicated that both players would be in the team's plans beyond this season. "For both those guys, whatever mechanism we use, we'd like to keep those guys around for '26 and beyond."
Walker became an immediate starter as a rookie and has led the Packers in tackles in each of his first three seasons, recording more than 100 in each year. However, he missed four games last season due to injury. The organization hopes to extend his contract.
