Briefly

DeMarcus Lawrence expressed a strong desire to remain with the Dallas Cowboys as he prepares for the 2025 season. At a recent promotional event, he conveyed his love for the city, fans, and his long-standing commitment to the team. Although he suffered a season-ending injury in Week 4 of 2024, Lawrence is now 100% healthy as he enters free agency. His agent foresees challenges, highlighting that while the Cowboys are his preference, other options are also available. Lawrence remains optimistic about playing again, illustrating a balanced approach to his career's future.
On Thursday at a promotional event at H-E-B in far north Fort Worth, Lawrence signed autographs and posed for photos for a long line of patient and passionate Dallas Cowboys fans. The man can work a room, and judging by the reaction of the fans you would have thought the team just won its eighth consecutive Super Bowl.
Lawrence stated, "The ball is in their court. I'm not only going to play in Dallas, I'm going to have other options, but I'd like to stay here. It would be a glorious thing."
Though his recent injury limited him to just four games in 2024, Lawrence remains optimistic about his future, stating, "It’s not about just one year; I’m here for the long haul."
Lawrence's agent, David Canter, mentioned, "Good news. (Lawrence is) is 100% healthy, bad news is he's a free agent so for Dallas Cowboys fans who love DeMarcus Lawrence there's a possibility that he leaves."
