Cobie Durant signed a one-year, $4 million deal with the Cowboys after leaving the Rams. The move costs about the same as Dak Prescott makes per game. Durant has not been a superstar but has allowed a 74.3 passer rating in coverage over the past four seasons. At age 28, he is expected to be in his career prime. He has been used in the slot at times, but his best fit is outside cornerback, where he is projected to start opposite DaRon Bland in 2026. The signing is expected to be a major upgrade over the Cowboys’ cornerback production from last season.
