Briefly

We're fully into fall festival season, but this weekend brings a wide variety of events that include poets reading original works inspired by art at the National Gallery of Art, a fun run along the Anacostia River, movie nights and a family fest honoring Hispanic Heritage Month, multiple events with vintage clothing and vendors selling handmade items, and a chance to ask questions of members of the cast of 'The Sopranos.' If you're in the mood for a festival, well, there are plenty of community events from Petworth to Falls Church, festivals celebrating lagers and bubble tea, and a townwide Oktoberfest. Meanwhile, our neighbors to the north are bringing back Artscape for the first time since 2019 - a sprawling multi-neighborhood block party that brings musicians such as Anderson .Paak and Nile Rodgers, movie screenings, and plenty of public art.
