The upcoming anthology 'Dragon Delves' marks a transformative shift in the Dungeons & Dragons franchise, focusing on whimsy and new artistic styles as it reinterprets its iconic dragons. Set to release on July 8, it features ten distinct adventures, each illustrated by different artists. Highlighting this evolution is the adventure 'Baker's Doesn't,' which introduces a cake-obsessed Gold Dragon Wyrmling. Designers Andrew Kolb and Justice Arman emphasize the blend of magical and sinister elements, aiming to create a fresh and captivating visual aesthetic that reflects both nostalgia and innovation.
This is the first product that features adventures centered around all ten of D&D's iconic dragon types. Each of the ten adventures is handled by a different artist, each with a unique style and tone to match the story's theme.
For Baker's Doesn't, we got to combine our powers like the Wonder Twins, Andrew [Kolb] brought the art, and I brought the pastries.
