The National Zoo has reintroduced giant pandas, now fully accessible to all visitors starting January 19. The panda house opens at 8 a.m., allowing eager guests a chance to see the bears at their most active time. Free daily passes are required for entry, which can be reserved online, and no additional passes are needed for the panda exhibit itself. This simplifies access, especially following past modifications where visitors required separate passes to see the pandas. The zoo's hours will extend to 6 p.m. starting March 15.
The panda house opens at 8 a.m., one hour before other indoor exhibits, making it the ideal time to see the pandas active and climbing.
Visitors can enjoy the giant pandas without needing an additional pass apart from the free daily zoo pass already required, easing the experience.
