DC's Most Ambitious Spinoff Movie Just Cast Its Lead
Briefly

DC Studios is moving swiftly on a Clayface film, originally sparked by a screenplay from Mike Flanagan. Co-chairs James Gunn and Peter Safran, despite uncertainties about its connection to the broader DC Universe, are enthusiastic about the project. They ensured the integrity of Flanagan's script would remain intact during rewrites. The film is scheduled to shoot this summer and premiere next September with Welsh actor Tom Rhys Harries cast in the lead role of Clayface, a character that symbolizes a struggle for identity and acceptance in society.
Any changes as the shooting script is finalized are minor. It's all Mike's story. That's why we're making this movie, because we loved it.
After a long and incredibly exhaustive search, we finally have our DCU Clayface in Tom Rhys Harries. Both Matt Reeves and I were just blown away by this guy.
