According to a late Thursday WazirX Xeet, the attack targeted one of its multi-signature wallets - digi-cash lockers that offer superior security through multiple private keys for transaction authorization.
After detection, all crypto withdrawals on WazirX were stopped, deposits were blocked, and efforts were made to aid wallet-owners in recovery, post which WazirX described the incident as a 'force majeure' event.
