"Invesco has been strategically building the capabilities required to support institutional-grade digital asset products since 2019, and this partnership reflects that long-term commitment."
"Superstate founder Robert Leshner explained that his company built USTB and another tokenized fund in part as a prototype to show Wall Street that the RWA concept worked in practice."
Invesco has introduced the Superstate Short Duration US Government Securities Fund, managing over $900 million in assets. This fund focuses on real world assets (RWAs), similar to BlackRock's BUIDL fund, but exclusively holds T-bills. RWAs are gaining traction due to their blockchain packaging, allowing for instant trade settlements and yield access. While currently aimed at institutional investors, the market may expand to retail customers. Superstate, founded in 2022, aims to demonstrate the RWA concept and provide tokenization technology across Wall Street.
