The Vaccines You'll Need This Fall and Winter
Briefly

Our top recommendation for protecting yourself and your loved ones from respiratory illness is to get vaccinated," said CDC director Dr. Mandy Cohen in a statement supporting the new advice.
The advisory committee recommended people 75 and older get RSV vaccination, while those aged 60-74 should consider it only if at higher risk, with younger adults not in the current recommendations.
The committee did not recommend GSK's RSV vaccine for those aged 50 and up due to the risk of Guillain-Barre syndrome and the low incidence of RSV complications in younger individuals.
The updated flu shot will now include three strains instead of four from the previous year, following the advisory committee's recommendations.
