Parents warned families may have been exposed to measles after case linked to Dublin play centre
Briefly

The Department of Public Health at the HSE has issued a statement with a measles alert for Dublin and the North East region after a case of the highly infectious disease was confirmed in Dublin 15 area.
HSE advised attendees of Ship Shape Kids play center to be vigilant for measles symptoms for 21 days after exposure, stressing the importance of seeking medical advice and ensuring MMR vaccination.
Measles, a highly infectious disease, can present with symptoms like sore red eyes, rash on the head and neck spreading to the body, runny nose, cough, and fever above 38 degrees C.
It's essential to ensure families are up to date with MMR vaccines, especially for children under one year, pregnant women, and the immunosuppressed, while older individuals born before 1978 or exposed to measles may already be immune.
