COVID-19 hospitalizations have significantly decreased in California, with data showing that COVID-related hospitalizations were down to 0.5 per 100,000 residents in March 2022, compared to a peak of 7 per 100,000 in January.
As of late March, COVID-related deaths in the country were down to 1.2%, showing a 20% decrease from the previous week, and COVID hospitalizations were down by 15% week over week, with around 8,000 total hospitalized.
