Are kids getting routine vaccines? Progress has 'stalled' yet there is some good news
Briefly

The latest numbers show that, globally, the rate of childhood vaccinations is stuck at 84%. There's been no improvement from 2022 to 2023. Even more concerning is that the number of zero dose children has actually increased, particularly in conflict zones and fragile countries.
Sudan is a stark example of a country with plummeting immunization rates. The DTP coverage dropped from about 75% to 57% from 2022 to 2023, with the number of zero dose kids rising from almost 110,000 to about 700,000. Conflict zones like Sudan face severe challenges in delivering vaccinations.
