1.8 million SharkNinja pressure cookers sold at Walmart, Costco, Target, and elsewhere have been recalled after serious burn injuries
Briefly

SharkNinja has voluntarily recalled over 1.8 million units of their Foodi OP300 Series Multi-Function Pressure Cookers following more than 100 reports of serious burn injuries. The issue arose from a malfunction that allows the pressure-cooking lid to be opened while the cooker is pressurized, potentially resulting in burns from hot contents. The recall also affects lid replacements sold separately. Consumers are advised to stop using these pressure cookers immediately. The recalled units were available at major retailers and online since January 2019, affecting about 1,846,400 units in the U.S. and an additional 184,240 in Canada.
SharkNinja announced the recall of over 1.8 million Foodi multi-function pressure cookers due to serious burn injury reports linked to dangerous lid malfunctions.
Consumers are urged to stop using the affected SharkNinja pressure cookers immediately, as pressing the lid open while pressurized can lead to hot contents spilling.
