Starbucks will introduce Protein Cold Foam and a new line of Protein Lattes at U.S. and Canadian coffeehouses beginning September 29. The Protein Cold Foam has been tested since July and has appeared in one out of every seven beverages during trials. The foam adds 19 to 26 grams of protein per Grande beverage, while the Protein Lattes made with protein-boosted milk provide 27 to 36 grams per Grande. The foam and lattes come in multiple flavors, including seasonal varieties, and are customizable with sugar-free and unsweetened options. A 2025 IFIC Food & Health Survey found 70% of Americans are interested in consuming more protein.
