Instacart is introducing Fizz, an app designed for partygoers to collaboratively order supplies for events with ease. Users can add snacks and drinks to a shared cart via a simple link, making group shopping more organized. The host pays a flat $5 delivery fee, while guests only pay for their selected items. With a focus on user-friendly access, Fizz aims to eliminate the common hassle of splitting bills after parties. The app uses Instacart's extensive delivery network, optimizing for convenience and time efficiency.
"It completely eliminates this funny step or ritual that people do today after a party, which is they split the bill," Danker says.
"We're not trying to force people to install an app," Instacart chief product officer Daniel Danker tells The Verge. "We want it to be the easiest, fastest way to shop as a group."
