With a Crosstown loss to the Cubs at Wrigley Field, the White Sox tied the franchise record for their longest single-season losing streak with 13 consecutive losses, originally set in August 1924.
While the 2024 White Sox are one game away from potentially breaking the single-season losing streak record, they are not the worst in White Sox history; the 1967-68 White Sox had a 15-game losing streak spanning two seasons.
In MLB history, 11 American League teams have lost 13 consecutive games since 2000, with the all-time record for single-season losses at 23 held by the Phillies in 1961, and the AL record at 21 consecutive losses by the Orioles in 1988.
