"The White Sox placed second baseman Lenyn Sosa on the 10-day injured list due to a strained right hip flexor, recalling first baseman Tim Elko."
"Elko had a brief stint with the White Sox earlier this season, hitting three home runs in ten games and boasts experience at the major league level."
The Chicago White Sox have put second baseman Lenyn Sosa on the 10-day injured list because of a strained right hip flexor sustained during a recent game. To replace him, they recalled first baseman Tim Elko from Triple-A Charlotte, who had a short stint earlier this season and performed reasonably well. Additionally, the White Sox transferred right-hander Miguel Castro to the 60-day injured list due to a knee injury, while also claiming pitcher Ryan Cusick off waivers from the Tigers.
