Weekend Break: White Sox celebrate families with Kids Opening Day on the South Side
Briefly

The Chicago White Sox kicked off their season with Kids Opening Day at Rate Field, celebrating family and fan engagement. The event featured a special press conference where young fans asked insightful questions. White Sox VP Sheena Quinn highlighted the emphasis on creating memories for families every home Sunday, while kids could learn baseball fundamentals from former players and coaches. The initiative offers discounted tickets for families throughout the season to encourage participation and enjoyment of baseball in the community.
The White Sox are very unique in that former players like myself are part of the organization, working with our coaches to teach some of the fundamentals that the White Sox are teaching in the majors and the minors.
White Sox baseball has always been about generations of fans, so every Sunday here at the ballpark, when we're at home, we make it all about the kids and families and making memories.
This is a special Opening Day for the kids, and every home Sunday will be special for kids throughout the season at Rate Field.
Families should come on out,... There's a lot of fun stuff, especially.
